Monica Douglas-Clark talks with Blue Yates, both co-founders of frequencymeditation.com, about the origins of the project

MDC: How did Frequency Meditation come about?

BY: The initial excitement came from the idea that there were numerous things that could be connected into one unity. In the discussions we had, we talked about colours, chakras and frequency as expressed through the Pythagorean modal system, and to bring these things together in a way that neither of us were aware that anybody else had done. From this came the idea of making a product that enabled people, through the idea that you’ve got light expressed in colour, sound expressed through the notes and you’ve got the energetic spiritual side expressed through the body in forms of chakras. Everything else is ascending in frequency into a point that can represent the end of a short journey that fractally would represent the beginning of a long journey, or any point along that line

MDC: For me frequency meditation is coming from a deep introspective place that you’ve tapped into that I’ve been exploring all that time when I was doing my Kriya Yoga practice which is all about awareness of the chakras and how they manifest, not only in the energetic body, but in how we live our lives. So, for you then to come up with something that represents that musically, and through frequency, which can be used through different parts of life, so you could do it as a formal meditation, or you can put it on in the background if you want to be aware of those levels of being while you’re working or cleaning, or in the car or wherever, really brings that together for me. It’s physical in the body, it’s energetic, it goes through all the layers of being, and it’s accessible because you can listen to it without any concept. You don’t have to have concepts of the chakras.

BY: Yea, it gives it a really universal applicability and I really like that idea of being able to use it whilst you’re doing the cleaning or driving, but also in a directed meditational sense as well, because it’s something from which you can take what you will, depending on where you are in your own process.
